As a former stealth pilot, James R. Hannibal is no stranger to secrets and adventure. He has been shot at, locked up with surface to air missiles, and chased down a winding German road by an armed terrorist in a beat-up Opel.
James graduated from the US Air Force Academy and now lives with his beautiful family in Houston, Texas. He is the award winning author of the Section 13 children’s mystery/fantasy series from Simon & Schuster Young Readers and the Nick Baron covert ops series from Penguin.
Like Jack Buckles, James lives with an advanced form of the neurological phenomenon called synesthesia. Most synesthetes have only one or two senses that intersect, but all of James’s senses intersect. Light and movement have sound and feeling, sound has color and texture, and a bad smell can feel like wading through a swamp or fighting his way through a sandstorm. Also like Jack, James has used this phenomenon in the past to catch bad guys.
